Lake Wewegimok is an 18” x 24” acrylic painting on paper. It is a painting of a view from my family’s cottage on Wewegimok lake that is located just outside of Kirkland Lake. For over 10 years my family would spend our summers here. I grew up here and it is always an amazing experience. It is a place where we truly were roughing it, we have learned how to live without running water for weeks at a time, had no tv, wifi or cell service and the only way to get back to our car to go into town was by boat. I chose to paint this specific view because this is the view I would wake up to every morning and the view that has never changed.
